I think a smoker being with a smoker is a good thing.

As long as you both plan to quit because then you have constant support.

NV4 wrote Lol anyone who says they can't be with a smoker isn't ready for a real relationship anyway. You gonna love them refaurdless if they smoke or not lol. Bad topic.

Im not ready for a real relationship because I don't wanna be with someone who would slowly be killing not only themselves but me too?

unless they were sitting there blowing smoke in your face, how would stepping outside smoking a cig and then coming back in 3 minutes later be killing you too?

Okay say they never smoke around you.

Knowing that the person you love is slowly killing themselves wouldn't kill you inside?

Last time I checked everyone dies eventually, drinking coca cola kills you slowly, eating McDonalds kills you slowly. Poor dieting kills you slowly.

Im not saying smoking isnt bad BUT its just one of those things. Also if you REALLY loved someone and they happened to smoke, wouldnt it be worth your time to maybe help them quit instead of just totally dismissing them?

That is the dumbest thing iv'e heard when people talk about smoking. Smoking is in no way comparable to drinking pop.

Also, what if that person had no intentions of quitting? I've dated two girls that smoked and neither had any intentions of quitting. Me trying to get them to quit caused the relationship to end.

The point is everything kills you, and I just said "smoking isnt bad BUT". Do you understand how to read a structured sentence?

I guess those two girls werent in love with you, so it wasnt worth time spending with them anyway. Soooo whats the problem here? Are you looking for false love.

No, I'm trying to make sense of this

Anyone who says they can't be with a smoker isn't ready for a real relationship anyway.

What does that have to do with "false love" when I simply couldn't fall for a girl that smokes?

Uhm, im a bit confused. I didnt say that... another user did. So unless youre not replying to me, I would appreciate not trying to put words into my mouth.

Who are you replying to with that quote?

I've dated two girls that smoked and neither had any intentions of quitting. Me trying to get them to quit caused the relationship to end.

Ok so, what I said prior to this. You tried getting them to quit right? If they did not want to quit then they probably werent in love with you, so its a good thing that those relationships ended. I dont understand what was hard to understand about my reply?

Oh boy, someone has been watching too much MTV.

If you don't like it, don't pay attention to it. People are going to smoke, they have been for thousands of years, and nothing you say or do will make the millions that currently are immediately stop.

Sadly you're right.

If only there was a way to get everyone to quit so that I never have to worry about SHS.
