So my iphone 6 was due for an upgrade so i went online and upgraded to a iphone 7 plus 128gb they never told me it would take 2 months to arrive so i cancelled the upgrade, i then go to the shops and they upgrade me there and then giving me a iphone 7 plus 32gb all was good until the 15th when i got an email saying "your new phone will be with you shortly" i then rang vodafone and they said yes there was an error and that i had to give back the phone immediately or i would be charged for 2 contracts. i go in store today and they said there was no other contract open in my name and that they wouldnt have known i had the phone as it was DPD fault. yet i asked if i could keep it and they said no and kept it. Was it worth the risk of perhaps paying 120GBP Permonth for both handsets? or was i right to give it back and be 100% certain nothing will bite me in the ass?

I would say it's good to give it back. At the end of the day you got a new phone back and before all these events even happened, you were only expecting to upgrade and have one phone not two, so your not really losing anything. Now you can relax a bit and not have the stress that something might come back on you as well!

that is true, as if i kept it i would have always been worrying if they would find out and if i had sold the phone i would have been screwed

I wouldn't of said anything and held onto it untill you got your bill. If there wasnt a charge for the extra phone on the bill, then I would of sold it

Wouldn't of said anything and if you were charged called and complained and had your bill fixed.
