I've been playing CoD 4 ever since release date back in '07, and I always thought ever since they released MLG rules on playlists in Call of Duty that it would be really nice to see the same thing implemented back on CoD 4.

These rules would be used for a sort of competitive-play and would be used in official CoD Competitions to give the contenders a fair way to play (so people don't run 'x3 Stuns, Juggernaut, and Last Stand' on every class).


Perks that will be disabled in this mode:
- x3 Special Grenades
- RPG-7
- Stopping Power
- Juggernaut
- Last Stand
- Martyrdom

Guns that would be disabled in this mode:
- *Would leave to either CoD developers; Pro Team votes; or general public votes*


I think that these limitations could be made into a really cool game mode playlist that would allow you to choose either "MLG: Dom, Search, TDM, Sabotage, and Headquarters".

Let me know what you guys think of this idea by voting in the attached poll!

I don't see why they would't add this, maybe not so much a online playlist but in custom games there should be a MLG type game mode selection like how Bo3 did it. Good post though OP.

Thanks, man! I thought it would be a nice idea for those who want to play and enjoy the game without worrying about Martyrdom, Jugg, etc.

it wont be an official mode it would be for what you already do and why take out sp in the mode you need that for snipers and quick kills never played mlg matchs cause i hate mlg with a passion(got banned wont list why) it again would prob be the same as always look online add/message the people then join game the other mode would be the same as the last few cods if there was a comp mode

stopping power and jug was always competitive perks 3x specials too. It was 3 frags, claymore, c4, grenade launchers, last stand and martydom and banning guns would be stupid

i think should add in the Faceoff mode from MW3. That would be great, and they should have a casual and competitive section in this playlist. So no special bans for the casual part, but put in bans for the competitive part.
