Specs of this machine.
MacBook Pro 15.5" Retina (Mid 2014) i7 2.8GHz 16GB 1TB SSD CG
(Capacity: 1TB SSD, Cosmetic Condition: Good)
Is it worth getting, as I need a laptop to take to school.
Might be playing some games on this as-well, as I have a custom desktop as-well.

That should be fine for whatever you're gonna need to do for school. I have a laptop that is dedicated to school work and all that, and a high-end desktop computer for coming as well.

MBP are good for most anything.
generally because of the HW accel but if you're just using it for school and depending on the game, yes it is fine
