tisJordan wrote Just sorted out a modded account with a member of The Tech Game.

After such a fantastic service by the individual, I was opposed to this lovely error.

Is there any speculation at all that this has arisen in an effort to start cutting off modded accounts?

There's nothing but speculation right now. Nothing is confirmed. Just a bunch of Youtubers craving attention by talking on this issue like they know anything at all and people arguing over who knows more as usual.

Your best bet is to make a refund agreement with your seller, especially if they didn't mention this issue before you sent the money. I'd be fair like you'll wait 7 days or something.

If we're talking about the situation being heightened by uneducated assumptions and it all having to be a waiting game then that's understandable.

The seller who I dealt with made this apparent and I agreed to this right before even talking funds. Hopefully it'll be resolved and isn't going to stop the transfer feature from letting me get the account underway.

Apologies for posting once after the other but I've made a discovery. After closely monitoring the Rockstar website upon the site page of;

'Transferring Your Previous Grand Theft Auto Online Characters and Progression...' it is clear that it has been edited multiple times of last night into the current morning.

Find the part of the site i'm describing [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

(It has a date which shows at the top next to the Rockstar icon. It currently displays at the time of me creating this topic reply of 'Yesterday at 23:39', where-as earlier it was 'today at 21:00')

Unfortunately I didn't copy and paste the original overview tutorial, but they are editing it slowly. Due to it's sheer size of description I can't pinpoint what's been edited but leaves me to one hypothesis.

Rockstar must be changing either it's Terms & Conditions, method of transferring accounts or altogether looking to crack down on modified accounts or they'd surely be putting their time into fixing the issue altogether and not be editing this post surely? Just a small piece of feedback for everyone, not sure it's the best news for most and I certainly am living on very thin evidence but nonetheless.

Really not looking to start a debate on that, if that is true or not as only trying to close some loose ends, but are we 100% sure of this?

If you attempt to transfer a modded account over and it fails, does it reset the stats on the account?

I can't say for sure but some people claim that if you sign into social club after failing the transfer that it will show as reset

kv-seller wrote All I can say from my discoveries is that if you are still being brave enough to sell at this point, start selling for at least $100, because this is here to stay, limited, and time consuming.

Obviously stop and refund if you're still unsuccessful, but this isn't a server issue being fixed.
Can you confirm whether or not it has to do with the age/usage of the character or are you saying its just completely random?
