This really grinds my gears. I don't think upvoting every staff comment in Ask the Staff will help improve your chances for them to "like you" or so you can "become staff" or whatever the hell your motivation is. Just because they are site staff doesn't mean you need to suck up to them all the time (shoutbox is a >GREAT< example).

I thought I would get this off my chest.

Sucking up to staff in the shoutbox is basically a meme so nobody does it, and if they do they haven't been here for over a few days

The ask the staff section can be funny asf sometimes though, it's not trying to be a suck up or nothing,some replies are just funny

I upvote the funny ones. If I wanted to d ride staff I would ask them if I can play Xbox with them and get close to them to get some of them special badges.

That doesn't make up for people who upvote EVERY single post. Some would be understandable but barely any of the posts are actually humorous.

When staff comment in Ask the Staff, it is either funny (so you upvote it), or it is to the point (so you upvote it because it's useful).

Upvotes and downvotes don't matter.

I upvote if it is appropriate to the topic and/or it makes me giggle.
I downvote if it's not related to the topic at all.

Why do you care if people up-vote a staff member JUST because what they've said. It's a staff comment is funny then fair enough. I ONLY down-vote a reply if he's a pleb or I diss-agree what he's said. It's only a number [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
