Granted this system isn't always 100% of the time used correctly but regardless if I click on someone's profile with a bad ratio I assume they aren't a helpful member when they can be. I agree with you on this though. But there was no reason for him to comment that when I know for myself that I help out when I do have the information that someone needs and my posts aren't spam. I down voted a post of his (with cause) and I think he got mad. So the reply was justified. I get that the useful system isn't perfect but I'm still going to trust members with a good ratio as it can be an indication of a useful member or a member who makes valid points, compared to those with a bad ratio.

also what doe's useful and not have to do with anything? mine look just fine so what i spam, but it isn't just two words, or shitposting. i atleast put time in to what i am going to type out depending on what section of the forums i am on, i spend a lot of time in Andriod Device.

Are you missing the point of his thread.. or what? You claim that he'd voided his own topic by this quote;

So, your point is what? He is entering a giveaway. He can't enter the giveaway without posting and it's polite to say thanks anyway. I'm pretty certain that I'm not trippin' balls and this topic is aimed at those who DON'T enter giveaways but pointlessly post anyway instead of using the built in 'thanks' feature. I can't see how it's put him in 'the spotlight' purely because he said thanks.

Can't grasp why you'd actually care about such a trivial thing.

If nothing else, it bumps your post.

The whole site is based around posting. Keeping topics active and alive is extremely important.

That said, it takes far more effort to personally type something out instead of just thanking the topic. It's good to let the topic owner know that you appreciate the giveaway and their contribution to the community.

Off topic, the useful/unuseful post ratio means absolutely nothing.The majority of my unuseful posts are from users who just disagree with my opinion. Especially on subjects like gun laws, gender issues and so on. People will down vote you if you prove them wrong or they don't agree with your opinion.
