This is the router I have [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . It does the job well, no lag or anything unless someone is streaming 4k on netflix, and it's not very expensive compared to the actual "gaming" routers. If it's too high, pick another one up that's between 30-40.

Probably the TP Link Archer C7. Its top of the line for its price range. It has up to 1300Mbps on 5GHz, or 450Mbps on 2.4GHz, however most modern devices support 5GHz so expect some good speeds. The router also provides you with 4 gigabit LAN ports, which you should be using if you are looking for the lowest possible latency. I have used TP Link in all of my home networking solutions and can honestly say that the products they offer are top of the line. This model in particular I have tested and used for a while before retiring to something that better suites my needs, the product I moved to also happened to be made by TP Link.

I'm frim UK and got Virgin Media Super Fast Hub 3. My mum pays for it and it's not expensive, about £30 per month.

These routers seem pretty good, I'll look into them.
