A friend of mine is currently on iOS 7 and is wanting to update his iPhone 4s to iOS 9. It is coming up in itunes saying that 7.1.2 is the latest version, but also when he holds shift and clicks to select the firmware it says it isnt compatible. Can someone please help out with this??

IOS 7.1.2 is the latest version you can get on Iphone4/4s. You're friend needs to upgrade if he wants IOS 9.

Agreed, his phone is too old to even support iOS 9. He'll need to upgrade his phone to a newer one
