Im not wanting to use it but me and a friend of mine were chatting and I was complaining about how this game I play alot has seasonally locked achievements. They recommended that I use SAM to unlock those chievos.
Anyway, im really curious to know if its even possible to be banned from steam for using this. Im not talking about individual games that use punkbuster or VAC, obviously if run SAM while playnig games with anticheat you risk being banned but I mean is it possible for Valve to know if you actually cheated an achievement? My friend that told me about SAM uses it for some of his achievements and I was scrolling though his games and it all looks legit.
So in short my Q is it even possible to have your steam account banned from using SAM?

I have a friend on steam that used it to unlock all of the achievements for the 200+ games in his library well over a year ago and hasn't been banned. I've used it only a few times myself for achievements that were legitimately bugged. I don't think anyone has been banned that wasn't playing in a VAC secured games at the same time. You can definitely make it look legit as long as you don't unlock all of them at once. I really don't think Valve cares or a lot of people would be banned.

Valve doesn't care about achievements they carry no weight on the steam profile. Compared to something like xbox where you have a solid number on your profile.
