So I'm thinking of saving up some more money for a somewhat high-end gaming PC and was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions other than what I have so far. By the way, I will be adding a 1070 as soon as they come out more than likely.

Build so far: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

If anyone has feedback/suggestions, please let me know!

Also, just as a heads-up this is my first ever build so tips and general knowledge is appreciated!

Are you going to be overclocking or nah? The cooler is meh, it's over-priced. You could get a better cooler for less, easily. That RAM is hecka over-priced, like $20 more than you should be paying. No need to spend $150 on a motherboard, $120 would be more than enough really. The 850-EVO is definitely a good SSD, I love mine, but it's over-priced at the minute IMO. For only $20 more than that 250GB 850-EVO, you could get a nice 480GB SSD, that's almost twice the capacity for less than 1/4 extra of the cost. I'm assuming the GTX 970 is just a placeholder for the GTX 1070? Case is very over-priced, there's really not much need to pay more than $100 for a case these days, unless you're looking for something really baller. For this rig and this budget though, you'd be much better off getting an Enthoo Pro or something for around $100. $170 is just too much for a case with this budget IMO. PSU is not good. I had an RM650 waaaay back, it'll obviously work, but it's not good. An EVGA 650W GQ, 650W GS, or even a 650W G2 would be cheaper, and better quality, with nicer cables too. Paying almost $100 for your OS is just stupid. Either get your OS for free, or if you must pay for it, get a key from G2A, Kinguin, or the /r/microsoftsoftwareswap subreddit for $20-$30. Any more than $30 or so for your OS, is wasted money. I also would not recommend using a wireless connection, I'd recommend wired.

Something like that would be much better, and is almost $100 cheaper. Get your OS for free, or about $30 max, like I said. If you're not overclocking, get an i5-6500 instead and a cheaper cooler, something like a Cryorig M9i. SLI support so you can add a 2nd GTX 1070 at any point if you wish.
