America has been a dominate figure in the World Powers ever since it was created. Only recently have we been nothing compared to what we have been before. The is the ideology of Mr. Trump, to return the country to the greatness it once was. That is not saying we are no longer a World Power, but we are certainly no longer "dominating" and have not been the past 8 years.

I know there is a meme for what I am about to say, but I don't care for memes. What do people want when they say they want this country to be great again? Throughout our entire past, groups of people have been denied their rights. We were dropping atomic bombs on Japan and imprisoned Japanese-American citizens. Our government has been lying to get us into wars. We had people enslaved. We had them segregated. This very man said that he would potentially ban Muslims from entering the country. None of this sounds great.

I don't want to "return" to greatness. I want us to progress to greatness. I want us to evolve, not devolve. I will say that these eight years weren't what they could have been. Obama promised a lot that he did not deliver on. What, we lost our greatness due to Obama trying the Affordable Care Act? According to Google searches, Obama has been pretty good at job creation. What I would criticize Obama on his him basically obliterating the Middle East with drone strikes and airstrikes. I'm assuming people are fine with that thought considering that Trump wanted to go further and bomb the family of terrorists. All in all, I have only seen one person in this campaign truly ever fight for the people, and Trump most certainly isn't his name.

Not really a supporter of any. Just want to vote for the person who will make the country better, and I don't think Hillary is that person. That post wasn't a sincere post. It was a joke.

I don't think this makes a whole lot of sense.

Are Trump's lies excusable, while Hillary's are not? If so, why?

The problem is, both candidates aren't very desirable. Donald Trump's lack of political experience, and somewhat delusional mindset, is what hinders him while Hillary Clinton's corruption background hinders her. Sounds bad, but as far as who is more "corrupt", I'd toss that over to Hillary Clinton. It's practically the only point Donald Trump can use to keep his presidential bid alive. I wouldn't call Donald Trump's lies inexcusable, the media held pretty tightly to the Trump University case for one, but it's the fact that Hillary has so much "dirt" in her corner.
