So I witnessed my friend get pulled over today. The officer originally stated he pulled him over for speeding. While he didn't actually radar him. He then proceeded to write him a ticket for expired inspection sticker, loud exhaust ( Exhaust isn't even loud) All it has is a tip. Also a ticket for following to closely, going over double yellow line, no proof of insurance (in the mail), and no operator license on him. He received a total of six tickets for not one for speeding when thats why the officer pulled him over. Can he fight this ? I believe the stop was illegal due to not being radar-ed so he was stopped for know reason. He does have history with this cop and his fellow family officers.

The police can pull over anyone they want. He just got extremely unlucky in this case. If he disnt have his radar on then it's pretty common for them to ticket you on other stuff.

IF they cant get you for one thing, theyll get you for another. Had a friend get pulled over for a burnt out headlight, he was on his way to autozone to get a new one, pulled over, and then fined $250 on window tint and exhaust. I dont care what anyone thinks. The police are *****. Period.

He can fight it, but he's not going to get those tickets reversed. If he did all those things, then he deserved the ticket. The cop can say he pulled your friend over for crossing the double yellow, loud exhaust, or following too closely.

How do you know he didn't radar? It could be the cop giving your friend a break even though your friend was being an idiot that day.
