If you go back and watch the official trailer for Infinite Warfare, they have more dislikes on their video than likes. I wonder why...

Because people don't actually want what they asked for originally. People were calling the games "copy and paste" and wanted something different. They finally change and people say "they don't listen to their fans." While another Modern Warfare game would be fantastic, I don't blame them at all for where it is right now. People wanted different, it is different. They changed a winning formula to try and appeal to fans asking for change. I do think they need to start dialing that back on the upcoming games, but I respect them trying. As for Infinite Warfare in general, I find it pretty interesting.

We did ask for something different and we did receive something different - for about three titles in a row. Now they are beating the futuristic setting into the ground just like they did with boots on the ground. People want to go back to boots on the ground as they are sick of jumping around the map with jet backs.

I've stated numerous times that they should alternate between boots on the ground and futuristic warfare. If they keep having the same futuristic game or the same boots on the ground game for multiple years in a row, then the fanbase gets tired of it, just as they are now.

As soon as I saw the exo movement in the trailer, I lost interest. The space thing seemed cool.

Seems pretty reasonable that it is three times as well. Sledgehammer, Treyarch, and Infinity Ward. When one released and didn't do so well, maybe the other two couldn't stop production on what they had going on or thought it was just a misstep. After the second, there was no time for Infinity Ward to do much else. As far as I am aware, it isn't a guarantee that there will be thrust packs in the game other than other soldiers having them and maybe when you are in space. Would people really be that against a futuristic Call of Duty if the movement was the same as the older ones? Other than Advanced Warfare, I am fine as long as the game isn't a WW2 setting personally. I've played too many games in that era. There is nothing to add to it.

The fanbase is frustrated with the direction the franchise is heading and they are letting it show. Nobody is happy about the futuristic setting.
