I personally don't care as i live in Canada but i believe that Trump is more business orientated and he will most likely be able to make the states money by using that skill

Yes he has done/said terrible things but who hasn't?

The man who openly said he wants to let the US go bankrupt and default on our debt is our "best bet"?

Holy shit, you really don't know anything about economics do you? Okay, so he shouldn't default on it? WHO THE HELL IS GONNA PAY IT BACK? Take a look at the economic growth of the US, it's damn clear the upcoming generations have no prospects to pay it off. Defaulting on it would cause a global recession but it's necessary and we could come back. Other countries would STILL lend us money. From what I've read on this, you sound like you've been pulling shit out your ass.
OP, this thread is great. Unfortunately, most people don't think past "he hurt my feelings!!! He's a racist!!! He's a big bad rich man!!!!" If Bernie gets in, socialism will fully be instilled in the US and then we're really screwed. If only everyone would get an economics lesson and learn why socialism will never work.

It is honestly sad to see that people still take what the media says at face value. It is also sad to see that people think taxing the rich more would do any good. As previously stated, it would make it so people like me could live off the government not working a day in our lives, the middle class would be non-existent, and all the jobs will be in Mexico and China. A flat tax would be the best idea, it hurts everyone equally. at 10%, a guy who makes 20k a year would pay 2k each year in taxes. Someone like Bill Gates who made 11.5 billion this year would pay 1.15 billion to taxes.

Also, don't forget guys, we still have another option on the table with Chris Keniston. You can read the thread I made HERE.

NoSx1000 wrote Bomb the family of terrorists. Okay, and yet, look back on WW2, if we hadn't dropped those bombs, which vaporized innocent people, we would all be speaking Japanese right now.

The Geneva Conventions, which Donald Trump wants to 'expand' in order to allow for the killing of innocent people, were created in 1949 to stop anything like Hiroshima and Nagasaki happening again - along with other purposes, but those are the ones relevant to this discussion.
The world recognized after World War 2 that those atrocities, like Hiroshima and Nagasaki should not happen again.

Ignoring that, the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in WW2 are not analogous with bombing ISIS today.
There are reasons why philosophers will invent analogies, rather than using real world events to discuss issues like this.
Real world events have too many factors feeding their existence, and too many anomalies which could have affected their outcome.

Firstly, ISIS is not the threat to the US that Japan was during World War 2.
If you want to take the pragmatic and utilitarian approach to world politics that Donald Trump is suggesting, then you have to understand when last resort measures must be used.
ISIS are not at the size or strength when killing innocents to eradicate them is justifiable.

If you want to use the logic of World War 2 leaders who decided that nuking the Japanese was a justified decision, you must also use their logic of waiting until it was a justified time.
They did not decide to bomb Japan at the first opportunity they had. Japan was still killing soldiers and innocents, but the US did not deem that as a vindication of the use of the atomic bomb.

You must also look at ISIS through the same lens if you want your analogy to hold up.

I think that this is the most important aspect of understanding Donald Trump's mindset and it seems like many of his supporters sweep his statements encouraging and supporting war crimes under the rug, or act like it is a simple issue to tackle.

14 or not, he is bringing up points used by many Trump supporters to justify their belief that he will be a good president.
There is also a difference between a fight and a debate. Yes, there have been comments on this topic which are borderline flaming, but the staff have not deemed them bad enough to close the thread.

14 year old's are not stupid, they are capable of thinking about difficult topics and the teenage years are when many people's core beliefs are either instilled in or removed from them.
You can only change your mind if you are exposed to information opposing your view and having conversations like this are important for people of any age.

He and the other Trump supporters on this topic have been, on average, well-mannered in how they are responding to people - so to say that he is just trying to make people fight is a feat of mind reading that even Derren Brown would be proud of.

Vote for Bernie? Lets have a look at all the socialist countries.
Why should people who make a lot of money pay for the poor?
Here is what happens. When you tax the rich so much they make near the same as someone who works hard, the person who works hard stops working because they can be making the same amount of money doing nothing, which results in the economy falling apart because as this happens, welfare increases, the government spends more money and then we fall as a country.

Vote for Trump? Hell yes.
Call him racist, call him sexist, and then call iFunny, The Daily Show, Twitter, and things like WP (whom which are all bought out by the Hillary campaign) reliable sources for politics.

You're really going to try and talk trash about sources people use, then you link numerous videos from Trump fan pages on Facebook and Facebook pages of Super PACs?

Exactly. You can call it whatever you want, but it means nothing unless you prove it wrong.

Is that all you have to contribute to this conversation? Really? Pointing out someone's age means NOTHING. Unless you can argue the points he's making you really look like a fool here.
