I wanted to write a research paper on competitive gaming like COD, Halo,CSGO but I feel like the teacher will not even accept it or say why did I write about this. I don't have to stand in front of the class or anything i just have to write about any subject and turn it in. Do anybody think its a good idea, I know a lot about competitive gaming, its worth 100 points and worth 80% of my grade.

I remember in school I had to write a fiction novel that was about 5000 words long. I ended up writing the story line for Halo 3 and it passed lmao.

However if this is a good 80% of your grade, it could be a bit risky.

Gl with it though

Give him an outline of what you are going to write about on the subjects and maybe he'll change his mind.

A better topic subject would be the effects of gaming on the mind. I did a paper a long while ago on it, and there's a lot of positive affects and lots of information and studies on the subjects so there's an endless amount of sources.

Feel free to shot me a pm for some key points you could look into if you choice the latter of the two.
Best of luck.

Competitive gaming has been around since the 70s.
I can see no reason why he would not accept it. Just make sure you go in with a certain aspect of it to talk about in your piece.
Be it the origin of competitive gaming or the rise of it, just make sure it is well founded and written.

this is brilliant I did something similar to this in middle school. I basically just typed up the storyline of a movie.

If you feel like you know a lot about competitive gaming and think you can write a good essay about it then go for it, in my opinion the teacher should not so much be looking at the topic of the essay but the structure of the essay and grade you on your ability to write the essay not on the fact that its video games.
