So I've had it since around 2014 maybe? And I've never had problems with it really, but recently the battery has started to take a very long time to charge fully. Up to 8 hours some times. And in 3 hours of use, it will be dead. Is there a problem with the battery? Or do you think there is something wrong with the OS running in the background that is causing this? Any solutions or ideas are great, thanks!

After a while, it's not uncommon for batteries to begin to lose what life they had. Taking longer to charge and taking less time to drain.

Take your battery out and check if the dot on the edge is red. If yes, that means water damage. That doesn't always 'kill' your battery, but it can ruin it.

Either way, if you have a job/spare change, a battery usually only costs $10(free shipping from some places on Amazon)
