Save it, seriously. Once you're older and out of the house, a $1k rainy day fund will really help you out if something goes wrong, which mostly likely things will at some point.

Had lots of car issues over the past few years, most of which were very costly. I wish I could go back and tell 16 year old me to put down the stuff I didn't really need, and start saving for when shit hits the fan.

If you have nothing you need/want save it. Although that is a lot easier to say than do as i struggle immensely to save.

SAVE IT.

The last thing you want to happen is your car break down, and you bought something that some kid off TTG said you should get. Never spend money when it is someone else telling you what you should buy. Just because you have money does not mean you need to spend it. Hell, open a bank account, put it in there, and consider it gone. I have two bank accounts, one for money I can spend, and another for money that does not get touched unless there is an emergency.

If i were you, i would buy something worth about $100 on anything, whether its a game, weights( if your into working out), shoes, anything really and it doesnt have to be something you need at this very moment. Then i would save the rest. Why spend everything on one thing when later in the future, you will find something that you really want but then you'll be broke.

Good luck

I'd say save it up. You'll never know when you might need some extra money in the future.

Hey guys, Got a serious topic here.

Considering age between 16-18, and I have saved a good bit of money...

I am needing some help as to spend it, or save it for something bigger (What parents always tell me)

If I am going to spend it I would need something good to spend it on..

Yes I am thinking about stuff for my car but I don't really need anything right now..

What would y'all spend with $1000?

One of your options may catch my attention

Thanks

If I had that amount of money I'll spend that on upgrading my pc for the upcoming games this year.

I'd probably spend like 300 on like a few games i want and a few clothes then save the rest or something, but it just depends if theres anything you really want.
