when giving rep to someone why does it say either 1, 2, or 3? is it because I don't have a lot?

You can only give the amount of rep that you have

Maximum to give is 50

For an example; I only have 14 rep, so I can only give 1-14 rep at a time

It gives them rep points, which help people earn rep power
You don't lose anything

Every 100 reputation points, you go up 1 reputation power.
Or, every 25 posts you go up 1 reputation power.
You can give up to 25 points if you're not gold.
If you are gold, you can give up to 50 points.
But, you can only give as much as you have.
