So not so long back, a user by the name of 'Muzur' gifted me gold!

Was blown away, pretty cool thing for him to do really.

How ever, couple of days back I received an automated message from TTG.

"The user who gifted you Gold filed a claim with Stripe and they reversed the payment.

With that being the case, we had no choice but to remove your Gift of Gold.

We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Now honestly, it doesn't bother me losing gold that much, but why gift gold with the intentions of filing for a charge back? Truly baffled.

That's quite baffling to be honest, maybe the user who gifted Gold realized he is in financial difficulties or gifted gold but had expenses to pay.

Understandable, I mean honestly I would have preferred if he messaged me to tell me, I would have sent him the $6, (I think that's how much the gold costs?) Strange :/

I've heard of this before but don't really understand what happens
Would just contact an admin or any staff member they can help you the most

Inceptionate wrote Does it still count as a gift of gold if you charge back? Perhaps those were his intentions? Or he's met financial difficulties.

I'm not sure, I mean what are the benefits of the having a higher "gift of gold" counter on your profile?

Yeah, $5.97 to gift gold but I get what you mean.

Honestly it doesn't mean much to me, I probably didn't utilize the gold status and perks as much as I should have, so contacting an admin or staff really achieves nothing, I was just curious on his mindset/motive

Usually happens when the user gets banned.

If he wasn't banned before charging back, he definitely is now...

Has happened to me a few times in the past!

It is something users do when they are banned, had it happen to myself.

i don't think that should be grounds for banning someone from the site
