For the people that doesn't know already there's a new hacking group called the 'Phantomsquad' and here's there plan for this Christmas:

In my opinion this is really stupid, like what in the hell are you earning from this apart from ruining millions of people Christmas Day, it also means that Microsoft and Sony therefore have to repair that which will cost them most probably millions of dollars, I guess it's just for the attention they will be earning, I mean come on Microsoft and Sony, the both companies are like 'billionaires' surely they could prevent simple DDOS attacks.

They aren't a hacking group. They are a group of nerdy losers that crave internet attention. Putting "DramaAlert" in the tweet makes it very clear they want nothing but fame.
