So I just recently got a Snowball mic this past week and I can already tell a major difference from headset to this mic I'm using now! It sounds great but I've had multiple people tell me it sounds like a headset mic still. I had tinkered with it and I still sound about the same. I sit about 6 inches away I speak loudly but not shouting! Any advice I know the device isn't broken but something isn't quite right! Check out this video and give me some type of answer. To be honest I don't think it sounds like a headset. Sounds very good to me.

Snowball is a great quality microphone for the price and it's good for starting out.
Also using the program audacity if you don't already can make it sound even better

It is the best starting out mic, I used it for the first two years.

I think you have the ice and not the one with the three settings on the back, I switched my ice for the other one.
