Sanctorum wrote No, the i3 will be better in gaming. You'll be able to stream with an i3 perfectly fine, and it will handle editing/rendering fine. The 8320E, however, would be better at streaming/editing/rendering. Newer games, like CoD AW and FC4, for example, require at least 4 cores to launch, so won't launch with an i3, unless you use some sort of work around. The fact that the i3 is better at gaming, is irrelevant if you're only playing CS:GO, since CS:GO is not a demanding game anyway, you'll be easily maxing it out, regardless which rig you get. The only reason to get the i3 rig, is if you want an easier CPU upgrade in the future, to an i5/i7/Xeon. Yes, you can upgrade either rig, but if you want to upgrade from that 8320E, you should be going with an i5 at least, which means you'll need a new motherboard, and most likely new RAM too. With the i3 rig, all you'd have to do is swap out the i3 for an i5/i7/Xeon. No new motherboard/RAM needed.

Well I honestly I might go with the AMD 8320E, only because you will be able to play the new games and it will handle perfect for now.
In your opinion what would you get and why...and how much better is i3 at gaming?
Is there a list to review the i3 vs. AMD 8230E?
And also, Thanks Sanctorum for helping me (:

How much Over would it be? I am willing to spend $400 MAX!
So please let me know because I could go to $400 if Needed.
Also do you know any Black Matte Case? I was looking at the NZXT S340 Black, I will be having my mom buy this for me for christmas if you recommend it.

Nevermind I have put the NZXT S340 as my Case and I put in a $22 Gaming Keyboard and mouse in!
But how do I choose what Operating System to get?
Id also Like it to be 64 Bit.

Man just get Windows. Why would you pick any other OS though?

He's talking Windows 7, 8.1, 10.
Maybe he'll go with Linux.

Linux is a free open source OS.

Go with the i3 if you want an easier upgradable path. The i3 out performs the 8320E in everything but rendering/editing/streaming. Although the i3 is still very capable of doing all of those tasks.

I'd personally take the i3 because I'd just swap it out for a Xeon asap. Realistically though, 8320E is the better option. If you're able to get money to swap the i3 for a better CPU fairly quickly, get that. If it's gonna be a while before you can get a CPU upgrade, I'd suggest the 8320E.

As for OS, get it from G2A/Reddit if you have to pay for it, but I'd be getting it the free way. Just get whatever is cheapest, you can upgrade to Win10 anyway.

this thread....

OP, a Xeon is a high end CPU that is locked, has brilliant per core performance and anywhere from 2 to 18 cores, all Hyper-threaded so for example, 4 core 8 thread, 8 core 16 thread etc etc. They are brilliant at rendering and other cpu intensive work but are locked and usually have a low clock speed, but that is irrelevant tbf.
Also have support for dual CPU's but again, irrelevant.
