Greetings..
For change to happen both sides need to want it so much that they are willing to drop the colour code !.
For starters the protesters need to drop the word black from their posters.
If it's equality that they are after then surely their posters should read ALL LIVES MATTER !.

Until both sides are ready to drop the Black or white banner nothing will change.

Or, they can just be an inconvenience for a while, and the city will either have to cave into the demands or lose money (assuming the protests get big enough.) Also, they don't need to remove "black" from their motto. It is fine and is how it should be. All houses matter, but we aren't concerned about that when one is on fire. We focus on the burning one. Black lives matter, because black lives matter, too.
Technically, you're analogy is incorrect. When a house is on fire, the firefighters are not just concerned about that one house if there are houses adjacent to it. They are concerned for the adjacent house as well, as they don't want it to spread.

Because there isn't a bias in policing towards white people.
The black bias is demonstrable.

3PT wrote Sometimes I question if people actually think before they do things. Today in Minneapolis, protesters decided it would be a great idea to stand in the middle of the highway to "protest". Around 8pm a warning was given stating that anyone who did not leave would be arrested. Arrests then began around 9pm. However, enough remained to keep traffic blocked.

*sigh*
This is not protesting, it does not make people want to follow your movement. By blocking a MAJOR HIGHWAY you inconvenience so many people and they don't even THINK about what your movement is about; they think you're a complete moron. Even after receiving a stern warning, people decided that it was worth being arrested for. A protest should be peaceful and should not disturb any aspect of a functioning society.

I completely agree, but the people apparently did what they wanted to do, they made their voice heard.

No, not really. It was all over the news, but not for the protest. It was all over the news as the highway got closed. All the news stations couldnt give a crap (exactly how it should be) about the actually protest.

The title of the post was "Black Lives Matter Protesters Shutdown Major Highway", if you search that on google then that is what you will find. The global news would not have a headline saying "Highway got closed" It just does not have enough information.
