Is there a certain way to charge a mac book? I've never owned an Apple computer before and am unsure of the whole cycle thing. Is it better to keep it on the charger for a certain amount of time? Is there a certain percent at which I should start charging it? I want to get the most out of my laptop battery because I bought it slightly used and want to preserve it as much as possible. So if anybody has any tips or explanations on how to charge it please let me know

What I've heard is that you shouldn't keep it sitting on the charger while it's already charged. So once it gets to 100%, you should unplug it. I get that people charge theirs over night, I'm one of those people so I just kinda let it slide but that's just what I've heard.

Just like all batteries, it can only be reused for so long before it's dunzo.

Here is a link that explains to you why the battery cycle count is important and how you can check the health of your battery on your mac (once you get it);

So basically just treat it like anything else that has a battery?

Yeah. Just charge it when it is very low, don't leave it charging over night. Only if you really need to have full battery for the next day or something

Does it matter if I unplug it before 100%?

No it doesn't matter. You can unplug it at any time, some laptops will have a battery cut off switch, so when it's 100% it will only power the laptop until unplugged.
