Currently using an HP dv7 laptop to game.

Current specs:

Processor: AMD A8-4500M SPU 4 Core, 1.9 GHz

Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7640G

RAM: 6GB

Hopefully looking for an upgrade. Dont get me wrong this laptop is wonderful, but it just cant keep up with the new generation of games. Any help or suggestions are more than welcome. Even if the suggested PC is more than $700 i would love to hear it =)
Update: Also, im more than open to buying a desktop instead of another laptop.

250GB is very minimal, in terms or storage. It's not going to last him long after he gets his OS and a few games on there, at all. Plus, we don't even know what he wants to use this rig for, it might not even be for gaming, or whether or not he'll be overclocking. We need to wait for OP to actually give us sufficient information to properly help him.

If OP wants to OC on this budget without sacrificing gaming performance, then he'll have to find some very good deals.

Doesn't mean that it's necessarily just for games. We also don't even know if he needs ny peripherals, which he could easily need if he's moving from a laptop. OP could easily get OC capable components within his budget without having to sacrifice performance. 250GB is still very minimal for storage.
