I had them for a year but they didnt send me any letters or anything so I practically wasted a year with them on, so I've another 18 months with them on and they're easy to get used to after a while, it takes around 4/5 days for the pain to go away from eating and either clean 3 times or a day or you'll get them white spots on some teeth like I stupidly did now the journey is on to try and remove them

The pain should go away after a week. Your dentist should also give you dental wax. You rub it on your cheeks to prevent you from getting mouth sores.

I was given that wax too, but I don't think anybody uses it lol, I certainly don't. I was told to put it on sharp edges on my brace but it doesn't feel right.

Yeah, I had mine on for 3 years. Got them off in May.
The pain usually lasts for a few days, I got told to have some paracetamols to stop the pain. Try to avoid hard foods because that makes the pain worse.
Buy some interdental brushes also.

I just got mine taken off back in April.. That hurting feeling goes away after a week or so, so just stick to like soft foods like soup. And you will have a tighting like every 4 weeks on your wire so that feeling is going to comeback. Hope that helped and made sense
