I accidentally pressed delete profile AND ITEMS on my Xbox 360. I know I have another thread going, but this is a separate issue.

I hooked up my Xbox 360 HDD to my PC, and tried this software: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

and tried "Recovery View," but all the files that showed up said they were NOT DELETED. So in other words, the ones that were deleted did not even show up.


I got most of the stuff back through the cloud save, (thanks Microsoft) but I want to know before I go back online if there is a trace of me "tampering" with the HDD. Basically, I took it out of the Xbox, hooked up a SATA and power cable to it from my PC, ran the software and looked at the files. I did not change anything, since it does not look like I can recover the lost saves, and the HDD loads up on the Xbox 360 just like normal, but will Microsoft be able to tell?

I am going to play a bunch of games and stuff and save files and hopefully that will overwrite traces of me doing this.

But basically, doing what I did does not put hacks on the HDD or anything, right?
