I wish that people would educate them self on what self defense is. Someone hitting you and you beating the crap out of them is not self defense. Self defense is using reasonable force to prevent harm or death to you or anyone else. Once you are out of harms way, then that is where self defense is not justifiable. For example, if someone points a gun at you and you shoot them and they drop the gun and start to run away, that is self defense, but if you continue to shoot at them after the threat is gone that is not self defense. But i hear this all the time at school, kids say that they want the other person to hit them first so that it is self defense, but it just pisses me off to hear someone say that.

And, @ the begging you said if someone hits you and you beat the crap out of them, if they started it, they deserve a painful ending.

yeah thats the same where I live, like they want the guy to hit them first so they can put them in hospital and say it was self defense and get away with it like no, thats not how it works, just people looking an excuse for violence

alot of people take self defense too far and think its okay to fully beat the crap out of someone but in some cases its right, if the person is big or you're scared they will get up and keep trying its necessary to keep hitting them until they're unable to continue

I haven't thought of that before, but i agree. People act tough but won't even throw the first punch. If im going to fight someone( At my school it doesn't matter if you started it or not, your both getting arrested and fined $750 unless the other person just assaulted you) im going to want to get the first punch on them and then just continue, letting someone else get the first punch is not a smart idea, because all it takes to knock someone out is one punch and your done.

Not true, you shouldn't assume things like that, if they do keep getting up and trying again, then do what you have to. That's like assuming that because you beat the crap out of someone then assuming that there going to kill you so you kill them first.
