I just bought the game today and well it's my first shooter on the Pc is there any tips that anyone can give me?

Learn the spray patterns of commonly used weapons
Learn the maps and their callouts
Practise first on death match for a while to get used to the feel of the game and to be accurate with shooting, if an emu is close to you spray and pull down slightly on your mouse to control the spray. If they are at a longer range then take single shots or small bursts to hit them well.
Don't move when you are shooting, throwing grenades etc
Maybe watch some YouTube videos that teach yu useful spots on the maps

Number one tip: CSGO is not Call of Duty, do not try to replicate anything you would do on CoD because you will utterly fail. Now that's out the way, I will edit my post with some tips.
3 Competitive tips:
You are a team, so play as a team.
It's 2015, make sure you have a working mic.
Economy, it's important, so is your teams economy. Always buy together and not individually
Normal tips:
Never move and shoot, unless it's an SMG, they you might get lucky.
Set your PC to low settings for extra mlg.
Vote to kick any Russian in your path.
Never stand out in the open.
