Though it is not my thing to make graphics for money, I'll put my two in..
As I'm sure I've said many times, I used to do logo work,
and that is the only time I've ever really charged to do anything.
Sometimes I would even go in comps and enter a logo then hope for the best..
However I found this way of doing things very boring..
I enjoy doing graphics for fun/showing myself through art..
I find turning something I enjoy, into more of a serious,
strictly business type situation absolutely kills the whole experience..
Hints, why I absolutely despise people who proudly say, "No free work/Paid work only"..
However, I do hold a serious respect for those who choose graphics as a profession, and a passion.
People who actually enjoy doing what they do, and not count on it for just another source to make money.
I just have a very hard time dealing with those who are in such a rush to get money, out of a beautiful craft.
All being said, I do believe that people have the right to charge, yes..
However I feel that if you even want to attempt to charge,
you should have the right amount of time, respect, and experience under your belt..
Hell, I've been doing this for 3-4 maybe even 5 years and I still have a problem with putting a price to my work.
Then again, I suppose that's just me really..
Anywho, yeah.. Now you know how I feel about that.
