Hi, i'm 20 and i'll be getting my first car soon
i'm looking for something quite sporty like a Mazda RX8, but something with a better fuel consumption than 20mpg...

Sports cars tend to be small 2 seater cars like a Honda S2000 I would strongly advise looking at an Audi A6 saloon they have more than enough room and look the part too. But surely your insurance will be incredibly high as its your first car and being in the UK? Personally I would buy a cheap runaround for the first year then move on unless money isn't an issue

"4 seats minimum" though, it's a hard one with a sports car under 2.5 with 4 seats. I would suggest a RS/S but they're all over 2.5.

I know thats the only downfall, it's hard to get a decent car with all those things

2.5L for a first car is stupid, Insurance will be more than most people earn in a year. 25k for a first whip is equally stupid. Chances are you'll wrap it around a lamppost first year of owning it.

Get a small car with a small engine.

Go with something cheap and simple and make it your project and gradually do it up

Would be stupid though IMO. Anything larger than a 1.8L engine will cost a shit ton to insure. Since you don't have any no claims, you'll probably still be paying a fortune for something with a 1.4L engine.

Honestly, if I were in your situation with £25k to drop, I'd get this;

Not too expensive, still sporty and nice looking though. Great car and will still be aight as a first car. Insurance shouldn't be too bad on it either since it's a reasonably safe car and not too 'boy racery'.
