Meh
might be a thing
wouldn't really be worth it in all fairness because your PC is decent as it is (apart from that damn Zalman case)
plus AMD isn't that old school as I still use it to this day.

Honestly, I would not do this. If you are selling your old PC then do that, and get better parts for your new PC. But I don't see much of a point in building that new computer while having that current one, more of a waste of money to me.

NGL im not short of money. and tbh new parts for my pc aren't needed im looking to build a spare pc just oncase antyhting does go wrong. Also Zalman cases are mostly bad but the z12 plus is not too bad has resonably good cable management and had good airflow.

You weren't saying that when we used to play GTA IV... xD
I don't see it as a worthwhile usage of money, it would be better if you simply saved the money for if something broke, or put it towards the bike or started saving for a car when you're 17.

A single 580 is going to perform about as well as a 760, so a 960 will out-perform a 580. You'll probably find a 960 for cheaper as well, and in better condition. Older GPUs don't tend to drop much in price because they become more rare, especially GPUs that were higher end when released. The only time out-dated GPUs drop, is when there's a shit ton of 'em in stock really. Same with CPUs. i7-920's are still hella expensive for the most part. If you can get the parts cheap, it could potentially be worth it but it all really depends on price.

On gum tree the 580 is going for £40
