so i own a HP P2-1310
and i had to purchase a new hdd for the pc
now i get an error saying "No boot disk has been detected or disk has failed"
i bought a windows disk but i now need to get the boot order to start from the cd to install it
nothing has been to avail and i really dont want to spend another 400$ on a pc
please help as soon as possible

You just need to tell the PC to boot from the DVD drive which should be the esc key when you first turn the PC on and see the HP logo. Just make sure the disc is in and you select your DVD drive and it will load the windows setup.
