I say you are completly in the wrong. You wanted to be smart and tell them how you don't need to tell them your name and blah blah blah. That is where the obstructing and refusing to give details comes from. As soon as there is a physical altercation with a police officer you will get as assault on a police officer.

All you needed to do was give him your name and vague details about what happened. You wanted to be a little smartass and take it a step further and act like you know the law based on what you seen on youtube.

If a cop pulls you over for no reason, you pull this card. In this situation you should have done what you where told I don't think you will get anywhere in a courtroom.

why cant people just cooperate instead of trying to be some kind of police truth teller...

if you dont want a hard time, dont give them a hard time.

jesus chirst, its like you WANTED him to slam you on the ground. stop being a little punk kid and just obey the authority.. if you hadnt been such a shit, the probably would have just let you go within a short moment..

It may have been a little harsh, but you have to understand what these guys go through. When he went to get his phone they didn't know if he was reaching in his shoe for a knife, or what was going on. All they seen was a (for all intensive purposes) belligerent person bending over.

Why is everyone siding with the police. if you are in the "right". and he asks the questions,
doesn't have to tell them his name/details and is allowed to film for his own protection if something like this happends and is held against his rights when he is not been detained... the officers tells him that He's NOT, but refuses to let him leave when he is allowed to leave.

I Would have done the exact same thing but that is because i wan't to aggravate them if they stop me for doing something that don't involve me.

Just because you don't have to doesn't mean you shouldn't. The officer was just doing his job. Had he came across as a dick, yeah, I would have done the same thing. This officer was just trying to understand the situation and then he has this kid being a smartass.

Prohibit wrote Why would you lie about this **** being your son?
if you must know he's technically my son my girlfriend had him in her previous realationship. Yeah I agree with everyone this could of EASILY been avcidoded and no one would of got hurt, but BY LAW (which were all going for here) the police and security guard were in the wrong. I've done my research and spoke to high ranking officials and they tell me the compensation he could receive is between 5-25 thousands pounds. Obviously I did not want this to happen but now we have to fight to remove these charges(like you said they could of easily been avioded)and get him on the right path.
