I have always been fascinated by this due to people like Timothy Sykes, a billionaire from penny stock trading, but it does require a lot of skill as far as I am aware.

Even though I'm young, I am learning about investing.

As a graduation gift, my grandfather gives all of the grandkids stocks to invest in. I currently am invested in Cisco Systems.

It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it to be quite honest.

What happens when you buy stock in a company? will it make you money? I've always wanted to start buying stocks but never really knew if it made me money or not... If anyone could help me that'd be great.

When you buy stock in a company, you are investing in that one company. So, when the company is doing bad, you are doing bad. When they are doing good, you are doing good. The stock value fluctuates every day, shoot, every minute even. One day you can make $3000 and the next you can lose $4000.
