I've been reading around on other sites and people are still bashing the Xbox One, agreed between E3 2013 and Don mattrick making this stupid comment the start to the Xbox One was basically suicidal.
Totally Stupid...
Right out the gate the Xbox One seemed totally confused and lost there was no way gamers put the release system together in March 2014 the Xbox Division had a reshuffle and Phil Spencer took over, from that moment things have done a 180 for the better.
The strong point the Xbox has over Sony systems is that Microsoft is a software company the Xbox One has been updated very often with 100's of changes and features added while the PS4 like it or not is basically sitting around on near enough its 2013 release software.
Microsoft:
They've dropped the kinect to lower the price.
They've added cross-play with PC.
They've added game streaming.
They've added Backwards Compatibility. (Unbelievably impressive)
You Don't have to be online.
They've lowered the price of LIVE.
They've a total focus now on games (Phil Spencer)
and much more.
So tell me this why is it still the cool thing to bash the Xbox One? I own both consoles and I seriously believe right now the Xbox One is the better console out of the two
I saw 100's of people bashing the fact Microsoft added Backwards Compatibility to the Xbox One because it's supporting the past... when the hell has this ever been said to anyone? Nintendo did it over the years with the gameboy huge fanfare, the PS2 supports PS1 games huge fanfare the Xbox One supports Xbox 360 games 'LOL STUPID!' I just don't understand it.
Microsoft really screwed up at release but now they have Phil Spencer the right guy taking things in the right direction as gamers you must want there to be competition because it brings out the best for us in the end.

People just following the crowd I guess, stupid if you ask me.
I have played both and enjoy them equally, I Play the PS for its exclusives but if I want to play Call of duty for example I'll play xbox, I prefer the feel of the Xbox.

I agree, the only thing I think the PS4 has on the One is slight graphic increase, but if you care that much you should be on the PC.
I very much enjoy all the new futures I see coming out, I'll admit at first I was kinda underwhelmed with my One but now I'm glad I waited in line for it.
Can't wait to see what they bring out over the years for the one

I also have both consoles and think that the xbox one has a lot of great features and overall is a better console. People just bash on the xbox one because everybody was so use to the 360, give the xbox one some more time and people will switch and begin bashing on the 360.
I personally play the 360 more just because the games i love to play are on that console. They come out with COD games for xbox 1 and old battlefield games and xb1 will win my heart.

I think that most people are still ragging on the console is because of it's stumbles. The console has been greatly improving (Halo Wars hype!!), but has had some issues and shortfalls. It doesn't really deserve all the hate it gets, as microsoft has went to great lengths to fix their mistakes.
Still, the party system is shit, the UI is terrible, but in the end it's a pretty good console and keeps getting better with time. In 1-2 years the consoles current issues will probably be a thing of the past and people will get bored of kicking the dead horse......hopefully.
Edit: I'm mostly a PC Gamer, and so this leads me to believe that a lot of xbox hate is made by the silly"Hurdur PC Masterrace" circlejerk. Just let people play what they want and we can all have a great time playing games.

People are stuck in the past, they think since it had a not so "great" release that it contends to be the worst system. Most people I know prefer a PS4 due to the better "exclusives" and "programs" but I don't understand now i'm a fan of both but prefer the xbox one also. My favourite controller etc. I feel like most of these haters don't have an updated feel on the xbox one. This years e3 left me excited and ready for the future.
