So I'm considering buying ESO for X1. I've heard a lot of bad things about the game at launch, but I know they released the TU version to fix a lot of that. Now is it worth buying? I know it's a MMO rather than the standard RPG, but how does the game compare to something like Guild Wars 2?

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

I've played the game on PC since beta and I can say it is not worth the money, I personally regret staying subscribed for so many months. There are better MMOs out there but not for Xbox One.

Edit for more info on why its not worth it: The game fails to do the two things its trying to do. Be an MMO and be an Elder Scrolls game. Being an MMO I found it obnoxious to try and play with my friends as the game constantly made them invisible so partying up was harder than you can imagine, group questing is also broken as everyone needs to do every objective and not the group leader. The other thing is that it tries to be an elder scrolls game, yet it is missing so many features like actual stealth, pick pocketing, and doing whatever you please.

P.S. Don't let what i say dictate what you do, if you want to buy the game go for i'm sure you'll find fun in it where i couldn't.

Thank you, I can honestly say that at the time I had no interest in the game due to all the problems it had on PC, my PC would half-assly run it, and the sub fee at the time. But, now that there is no fee and it would run at least alright on my X1 I was considering it for more of a time filler rather than a entertainment investment.

But, I've read many things say the game is still boring after the update and it's not worth it. Now that you said the same thing I think I'll pass on it unless it goes on sale for very cheap. I know you said not to let your opinion influence mine, but that is what I 2 as looking for lol.

Don't think of it as preventing me from buying a game but rather saving me $80. ( because I would have bought the edi that comes with all the extra stuff. )

Once again, thank you.
