So recently someone on my post got on the topic of suicide.
No I am not trying to offend anyone but the way I see it suicide is a cowardly act.
I have been through hell in my life.
I have watched my mom get beat by my uncle and also been beat myself.
I have lived with practically nothing and on the streets.
Of course I thought of ending my life.
But I pushed on and got out of the hell I was living in because I didn't take the easy way out.
I didn't kill myself and leave my mom behind.
When people talk about a person who committed suicide and how good of a person they were I just think of the life they left behind and how the left what ever hell they were living continue to thrive.
Sure there is always people who were raised in a worst environment then I was.
But what I went through I have come to believe that you can always pull your self out if you have the will do so.
Sorry if this offends everyone but when people bring up the act if suicide I have strong feelings against it.

I've always thought of suicide as a selfish way to go. You're leaving so much pain for the ones who did care about you.

I think there's a lot of ways you can look at it. I think it can be selfish, but also, I feel like the people who do it think they don't have a choice. They probably think the world hates them and they are worthless. I'm also guessing they feel a lot of guilt when they are about to commit suicide, but they are so messed up and beaten that they just give up. Fortunately I don't have any experience with it, but I can see why some people would do it. I'm not saying it's the right thing and we should glorify it, but I can see where some people are coming from. But I think there is always a way out and you should have someone to talk to, not just keep it to yourself and not try and get help.

Depression.
/thread.
Puts you in a mental state where suicide is the best thing. Very few people who commit suicide aren't depressed.

As a person that had two of his friends commit suicide, and thought of it himself, I will tell you this. It will get better in the long run and I know it will. It happened to me and I'm fortunate enough to be living with my grandparents instead of on the streets with my parents. As a kid growing up, I witnessed countless hours of abuse to my mother and countless visits from the police from other people calling because of the fighting. I've been through hell and back and I'm finally where I am happy. Just keep your head up high and do what you want to do, not what others want you to do.

Pretty touchy subject.
I'd say each to their own. Everyone thinks differently and there are many different situations a person can be in.

I'm in the other boat. As long as the person who chooses to take their life doesn't have someone that is dependent on them (like a child), I totally respect their decision. Do I want people to commit suicide? No, but I'm not going to judge them at all as long as they do it in the safest way they can possibly do it. I don't see it as weakness. I don't see it as the easy way out. If it was so easy, I may have done it at some point in the past. It was my fear of pain that hindered me. I was weak and scared. My life, my choice to do with it as I please as long as it harms no one else. I feel everyone has that freedom.

Someone who commits suicide has a psychological illness. You may have been able to overcome adversity but not everyone is psychologically equipped to handle that. While I haven't experienced anything that could make me attempt my own death, I recognize that there are people who simply can't handle the emotional hardships that come with living.
I agree I couldn't imagine a situation where I felt the only thing left for me to do was end it for myself, but I don't apply that to everyone because I can't feel what they feel.

Touchy subject, but I have to disagree.
Suicide is NOT an easy way out or a cowardly act.
