I've honestly got to say, 1440p is worth it. I'd expect the majority of people to be aiming for 1440p panels now, it's time we leave 1080p behind IMO. It's still good but 1440p is so much more affordable and has a much wider variety of panels now. At this point, high end GPUs are a waste unless you're gaming at 1440p IMHO.
