So im looking at buying a puppy. (German Shep.)
I have a question. i work 9-5 Monday - Friday ..which is obviously a pain for walking the dog in the day..
But i CAN take my dog into work 2-3 days a week as i work at an office that allows them to be at your desk. Is this okay? is this bad? so maybe 2 days a week left at home..
How do you dog owners that work get around walking them in the day or does it not matter?
Edit: Regarding taking it to work half the week. it would have other dogs there for it to interactive. Also you all cant honestly say that dog owners dont leave there dogs throughout the day. people need to work. but lots of families have dogs, so how does that work?

My dog doesn't mind when he gets let out, I just take him on a walk what ever time, so if you do that, your dog will just adjust do it, and if you take it to the office and stuff it will just get use to it, and if it doesn't the best thing to do is just to leave him out in the garden if ( this is when he's older! )you've got a garden, and just put food and water out their, with a shelter!

It's bad when they are puppies because you can't really leave them alone or they'll chew everything! Try find a few friends that are off some days during the week who can look after him/her.

Its bad, a pup needs attention. I wouldnt do it unless you have a partner that lives with you.

I leave my dogs in a closed area with a tv and a bed (can be your bedroom), but they also are not pups anymore. I wouldn't be leaving your dog out like that until around 8-12 months old.

Taking a puppy to work would be dumb.
They need your constant attention and need to be trained. If you don't have the time don't get one, Its a living thing not an accessory.

If you take out the dog for a walk just before you go to work and walk again as soon as you'll get home then you'll be fine. (:
