That's true, but there's a big difference between being famous and being infamous.
Justin Bieber, Rebecca Black, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne are all infamous.
Adele, Rihanna, Beyonce, Eminem, and Robbie Williams are all famous.

Probably get laughed at for this but I wouldn't say Justin Bieber was "infamous." He's got talent imo, don't like his music but I think he can sing. Rebecca Black on the other hand can't.

Qwel wrote Alright, let me ask this question how old are you? When did you start listening to Wayne? Im guessing carter 4, nicki minaj ehhhh ok you got me there.

Lil Wayne, ive been listening to lil wayne since around 2005.. not trying to say the amount of time ive been listening to him matters, but Ive seen him evolve and I do say he has changed alot and for the most part it has been a little negative. I was in New Orleans when Katrina happened and Lil Wayne being from LA he had a pretty big spring their music wise and funding wise he did some good things for the city of N.O. Anyway im rambling, this is my most nostalgic song by Wayne and I would say alot of Wayne fans top 10 favs.

This song was released in 2005, and if you say this is "terrible" and "zero lyrical ability" then you must be basing your opinion off the "new" Wayne. Maybe this song will change your views, as I said remember Katrina. Also if you think saying the the N word makes a song/rapper bad you are so wrong..

If this doesnt at least open your perspective on him then I mean you must just not like him, and thats fine but I cant stand when people say lil wayne sucks because they heard his music from 2013-2015, even through the years hes had great songs but no one pays attention to them because they arent played on the radio. All in all im not trying to change your opinion but as I said above, hes not bad you just hear the bad songs. and if you think hes bad you havent heard an actual BAD rapper. I want to see you do better.

Heres some of my personal favorites if you care

I'm 20, the first song I heard from Lil Wayne was "Drop the world" as it was in the charts and that song was garbage too imo.

I've tried to get into him before, A friend told me to listen to "The Carter II" which I was told was meant to be some of his best stuff in her opinion and I didn't think that was good either ( I can't even remember the songs now but I know I didn't like them ), it was better than his stuff nowadays to my recollection but that isn't saying much.

I'll give you "Georgia Bush" that sounds okay, it was a bit boring imo but some parts throughout showed he had ability, which he's obviously lost or doesn't use now. "Hustler Musik" was okay too, wouldn't listen to it again though, thought it was average.

Wasn't feeling the other songs, some of them was talking about the same BS, money, cars etc.. Which is boring and unoriginal, it's not just Wayne a lot of rappers are guilty of it too. The others just weren't my thing, there's obviously others that like his stuff or he wouldn't be were he is, I personally can't stand most of his songs.

Like I said you've given a couple of songs that show he has some lyrical ability but he just doesn't show it in most the songs I've heard.

I'd like to think I'm unbiased, my TTG username is to do with Wiz Khalifa, who I can't stand anymore, same old shit about money, weed, girls etc. So if Lil Wayne does come out with some good songs I'll say it's good, I don't have a hatred towards him, just think his stuff is trash. But that's just my opinion.

you cant stand wiz anymore? what did you like of his that isnt weed money women cars?

Listen to his album "Show and Prove." He still rapped about those things but it was the way he rapped about it, he had energy, good lyrics etc.. A prime example of this is the song "I'm gonna ride." If you haven't heard it I'd strongly recommend it, a lot better than the shit he produces these days, he sold out imo.

I don't even mind the odd song about those things but he produces nothing but that now, it's stale and boring.

I liked some of his stuff around 2009-2012, he also had horrible songs during that time too, went to two of his concerts during that time too but since O.N.I.F.C he's became garbage imo. Just look at what he was wearing on his O.N.I.F.C album, the guy changed.

When you're twerking, showing yourself in a sexual way constantly, singing/rapping about sex half the time then I can't see how you're a good roll model.

That's great, encouraging kids to stay in school whilst teaching them acting like a slut is ok, great roll model.
