Ok guys im in 7 th grade bout to be 8th ,
And im doing football this summer / next year
And we have to lift weights this summer to get ready for football
So my mom walks in to my room and says
"Dont be goofy with the weights"
And i said im not going to mom
And she says
"And dont take any pills someone gives you"
I said im not stupid
But is my mom "overpertective/crazy"?

No she's providing you useful and protective advice. A moms job is to be protective. I don't know what she means about "don't be goofy with the weights", maybe meaning don't play around with them, such as tossing them up in the air.
She's just telling you that stuff so you know. If you'd like to understand on what she means I'd talk with her.

No its a fair point lifting when you haven't finished growing is apparently bad for your body and also taking certain pills can have bad side effects so she has a point and is just giving you some useful advice

How's that 'crazy'? So my dad is crazy for telling me not to play around with weights? She's doing it to tell you that you're still going to grow and doing weights can stunt your growth, so don't do it as often buddy!

Moms will be moms, they want to look out for their kids. Im almost 19 and my mom still tells me the same "dont trust anyone" "make sure you look out of for cars" type of shit till this day..

She is protecting you and letting you know what you shouldn't be doing, you are still really young don't be like that calling her crazy she is your mum she is just caring for you.
