TWC residential will give you a dynamic IP address, but we have no way of knowing know what the DHCP lease duration is. The modem cannot renew the lease while it is off, but you probably don't want to leave your internet off for some amount of time only to find that your IP address hasn't changed because the lease time is actually a few days.

Ask support for a new IP address.

I have already done so, they said to change my service from what I have now and upgrade to a business plan (costing money)..

They probably misunderstood you; you're not asking for a static IP address. Tell them you want them to know how long you need to leave the modem unplugged to be assigned a new IP address.

You can always change the mac address on your router, if you have the ability to do so, and you will grab a new IP address.

What's your router model?

Tmac would change the mac address of your wifi/nic on the computer running the program. You need to change the router's mac address to grab a new address.

Tmac would change the mac address of your wifi/ethernet port on the computer running the program. You need to change the router's mac address to grab a new address.
