I would rate about a 4/10. Its pretty good since your just starting out. Keep going man.

I would rate it a decent 5, the back drop and the fade doesnt go with the text i think you should of made it more clear as it's an avatar in small resolution but apart from that it's a smart design.

I would give this a 4/10.

Reasons why I like it-
The drop shadow gives a nice look of perspective to it.
The little cubes give a nice finish to the borders of the avatar.


Things that could be improved-
The blending between the red and the black.
Less rotation, I recommend 0-45 degrees.
The background could do with some texture and/or Gradient Fill.


Hope you take my points into consideration.

I am going to be honest, for a beginner it's okay.

First of all, there are countless tutorials out there with simple 2D designs (if that's the direction you are heading) or there is those (mostly horrendous) same old genre 3d stuff which I'd personally say avoid.

Overall I would rate it low. I do like the "Drown" I'd say to remove the dotted lines and slap a nice background on it. That should look fairly nice.
