The vast majority of us on this site are of the gamer nature and we all have to fuel this drive with the latest and greatest games! So this begs the question? Do you purchase your games from a retail store setting or do you pop on the web and rally to amazon to order them with the free 2 day shipping?


  • Retail Store or Online shopping (Includes in-console marketplaces/ computer marketplaces)

  • Why? Are you loyal to the brand stores or is the online option more convenient?

  • Do you feel you're getting a better bargain at either option? With either reward programs or the hassle-free online option?

I usually get mine online via the xbox marketplace.
It allows me to preinstall, play the game an hour early, and not have to stand in line at some midnight release.

Just depends on where is cheapest.

Amazon, Marketplace (which is never lol), Gamestop, BestBuy, etc.

Wherever I can find the game the cheapest. If it's preorder, gamestop, for the rewards
All the same price? gamestop/Amazon, depending on the day
And if I just happen to be at another retail store, and see a game for a reasonable price, I'll pick it up.

I buy my games from the local game store in town, they are 2 local game stores i use which is Cex and G-Force. The prices of brand new games are £10-£20 cheaper than an average game store like Game or Gamestop, so it's good to get a bargain and save money

Usually get mine from either Steam or G2A.

Where ever the game is cheaper out of the two.

I buy mine from Gamestop.
I have always used it, not really sure why.

I buy my games on steam and sometimes off of humble bundle.
