I believe in god, but not Satan. Why even have that kind of negativity in you`re life. If a god sends petty humans to hell than that is not a god I would want, but then again i never said Christianity either.

If you weren't talking about the Christian God why would you clarify that you don't believe in Satan?
You would just say, 'I believe in God.' It would then be an assumption by the other person if they questioned your belief in Satan.
By specifically choosing to clarify your non-belief in Satan you are setting yourself up for questions like the one Miss asked.
Unless you go through all of the negative beliefs of all Religions just to clarify that you don't believe in those either.
