ive been settling for it but i been getting a lot of screen tearing as the monitor cant keep up with the PC pushing the games at high settings. no point going for 4k yet so sticking with the great refresh rate + gsync.

TIME FOR CHANGE!

What hardware do you have in your rig? If you're not even going to be hitting much more than 60FPS, it's a huge waste of money. You'd have been better off saving £400 odd and getting a 60Hz 1440p panel IMHO.

With a single 970, you won't be hitting 100FPS on AAA titles. With games such as BF4 and Crysis 3, you'll be sitting around 50-60FPS on very high settings, and you'll be sitting close to 60FPS in games like Tomb Raider at ultra settings. Waste of £400 IMO.

I suppose for less demanding games, you'll be hitting over 100FPS fairly easily but it still wouldn't have been my choice.

Totally off topic. But, what is screen tearing? You say it might happen on low budget games. I'm building a 1600$ build to play games like steam games and gta but I will also play Minecraft. Will it be all messed up since it's so easy to run??
