fknvlink wrote Car is not rusted? I can see rust in the first photo.
Would not bother with that car. All the money your gonna spend on it to get it running properly and fixed up you could afford a decent car.

i didnt spend any money on it, and the car itself isnt rusted, just the lower fender

Does it run? If it does, run her till she dies. No need to get rid of a working vehicle. Just don't dump money into it with lowering kits, body kits and all the BS. You will be very disappointed when you just put 3k into and the motor seizes up, and the tranny catches fire. Or if someone runs you off the road (someone just did that to my aunt and totaled a 20k car...). This will be a vehicle you won't care if oops, you backed into a wall, or that dipstick let his shopping car hit your car, etc.

I would stay with it. I love the looks of these cars. Look online on how to customize/ modify the E30's. They are good project cars and with little bit of work on your car, it can look clean afterwards.

E30's and 1997/98 are my favorite cars to turn into project cars.

Is it your first car?

I'd keep it as a project, you can make them look really nice:P
