Well. Nazi Germany tried to invade the British Isles in the Battle of Britain, and failed. At this stage the British had no outside help. Then the Nazis tried to invade the Soviet Union in Battle of Stalingrad, during this they also failed due to an massive loss of lives on both sides. The main thing the USA helped is with funding for weapons, and if we had lost any of these powerhouse allies in WW2 (The USSR and America) we would of possibly failed. I think it is only recently that we payed off the national debt from the USA for weapons.
